Two Cameras, One Event: How Humanic Turned Its AI x Marketing Summit into a Library of Shorts

How we filmed Humanic's AI x Marketing Summit in San Francisco with full event coverage plus a separate vertical interview camera, so the team got a recap and a library of short-form content.

Humanic's AI x Marketing Summit in San Francisco, filmed by FogLine Visuals

FogLine Visuals, a video production company in San Francisco, filmed Humanic's AI x Marketing Summit with full coverage of the stage, speakers and workshops for the recap, plus a separate fixed vertical camera for short interviews with speakers and guests. The team got a recap film, social highlights and a library of vertical interviews to post after the event.

Who Humanic is

Humanic builds AI-native email marketing. It calls itself "Lovable for Email Marketing" and works mostly with Shopify brands. Its founder and CEO, Arjun Saksena, previously led growth at Adobe and Evernote. Humanic also runs the AI x Marketing community and its summits in San Francisco, a mix of talks, panels and hands-on workshops where marketers learn to work with AI tools. The spring 2026 summit took place in SoMa. Speakers included marketing leaders from Talkspace, Amplitude, Profound and the California Academy of Sciences.

Two jobs, two setups

We treated the summit as two shoots running at the same time:

  • Full event coverage: the stage, the speakers, the workshops and the room. This became the recap and the highlights.
  • A dedicated vertical camera: one fixed spot in front of Humanic's branding, where speakers and guests stopped for short interviews throughout both days. It was framed for Shorts, Reels and TikTok from the start, so nothing had to be cropped later.

Why the second camera matters

Most event footage is horizontal and built for one recap, but social platforms now run on vertical video. You can crop a horizontal shot, but it rarely looks as good as footage framed vertically from the start. And interviews grabbed on the fly in a loud room rarely sound good. A fixed vertical station solves both. Every guest gets the same framing and the same branding behind them, and you get a steady stream of people saying one smart thing in 30 seconds.

What Humanic got out of it

  • A recap film of the summit
  • Highlights for social
  • A library of vertical interviews with speakers and guests, ready to post as Shorts, Reels and TikToks for weeks after the summit

For a marketing team, that last part is often worth the most. The event lasts two days, but the interviews keep promoting the community, the speakers and the next summit long after the room is empty.

How to get more out of an event

  • Decide before the day which formats you need: recap, highlights, vertical interviews, full sessions
  • Give vertical video its own camera instead of cropping later
  • Put the interview spot in front of your branding, somewhere people pass anyway
  • Prepare two or three questions every guest can answer in 30 seconds
  • Ask speakers to stop by right after their talk, while the topic is fresh
  • Plan the posting schedule before the event, not after
